North Korea has yet to return the remains of U.S. soldiers, despite President Donald Trump's claim at a recent rally, according to Sec. of State Mike Pompeo.

Roughly 7,700 U.S. troops from the Korean War are still unaccounted for. The United States sent 100 wooden coffins to the North Korean border with South Korea to prepare for the remains.

Trump said at a rally in Minnesota that "we got back our great fallen heroes, the remains, in fact today already 200 have been sent back," according to Newsweek.

Pompeo revealed to the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday that the U.S. has "not yet physically received" the remains, but said he is "optimistic that we will begin to have two opportunities, one is to receive some remains in the not-too-distant future but then there is a great deal of work with companies like the one you described, nonprofits."
