Actor and director Sylvester Stallone
tells Variety he likes Donald Trump, though he isn't sure about backing his presidential bid.
"I love Donald Trump," Stallone said when asked about the GOP front-runner. "He’s a great Dickensian character. You know what I mean? There are certain people like Arnold [Schwarzenegger], Babe Ruth, that are bigger than life. But I don’t know how that translates [laughs] to running the world."
The 69-year-old Stallone — who at the Golden Globes Sunday night won best supporting film actor for reprising his iconic role as boxer Rocky Balboa in "Creed" — has been called a Republican for supporting Sen. John McCain for president in 2008, but told Variety, he's not a member of the party.
"May the best fighter win," he said. "I don’t think you can be totally one-sided forever. Then you close your mind to all sorts of possibilities. It’s just, 'Who comes along better at that time for what the planet is going through?' Right now, it’s pretty confusing on every side."
