The scene portraying the death of Kim Jong Un in "The Interview" surfaced Thursday, showing the North Korean leader meeting his fate when his helicopter is struck by a missile.
The video has since been pulled from the web.
Kim Jong Un, who is played by Randall Park in the film which was pulled by Sony Pictures Wednesday, is shown hanging onto a helicopter, while a slow version of Katy Perry's "Firework" is playing, and the North Korean leader is slowly incinerated,
The New York Post reported.
The scene appeared on YouTube for a time on Thursday before it was pulled for apparent copyright violations,
The Wall Street Journal reported.
The scene is said to be a subject of controversy and source of contention for the North Korean government, believed behind a cyberattack aimed at Sony over the portrayal of Kim Jong Un's assassination.
Sony announced Wednesday that it was canceling the release of "The Interview," which was scheduled to be in theaters Christmas Day, citing threats from a group of hacker calling itself the
Guardians of Peace, which was threatening that if the movie wasn't pulled, the U.S. could face violence similar to Sept. 11, 2001.
