President Donald Trump warned House Democrats about launching any investigations into his administration and threatened to have the Democrats probed over leaks of certain classified information.
His remarks came in a Wednesday morning tweet. He wrote: “If the Democrats think they are going to waste taxpayer money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of classified information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!”
CNN had reported that Democrats are preparing to use their new House majority to undertake investigations into Trump and his administration.
“Donald Trump may not like hearing it, but for the first time, his administration is going to be held accountable," said Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., who will likely head to the Judiciary Committee next year.
