Twitter temporarily suspended the account of conservative activist James O'Keefe around the same time he released a video of Wisconsin Democratic senatorial candidate and former Sen. Russ Feingold, saying that Hillary Clinton might use executive order on gun control if she is elected president, according to The Daily Caller

On Wednesday, O'Keefe sent a tweet saying his account had been reinstated:

O'Keefe is the founder of Project Veritas, a nonprofit that uses undercover journalists to "investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical and transparent society," according to the company's website.

In the video, O'Keefe went undercover to an August fundraiser for Feingold in California. The activist asked Feingold what Clinton could do about gun control and he responded, "Well, there might be an executive order."

Fundraiser host and Clinton donor Amy Rao is also in the video, telling O'Keefe what she believes Clinton will do about gun control:

"Hillary wants to shut it down. If we can get guns away from everyone in this country, she'll close the loopholes, she'll get rid of assault weapons, she will get rid of being able to buy, you know, unlimited bullets. She's going to make all that stop."

The video is posted on YouTube on the Project Veritas Action account.

Twelve hours before O'Keefe released the video, Twitter suspended his account, The Daily Caller reports.
