Anthony Scaramucci – the shortest-serving communications director in White House history – on Monday joined two other Trump administration officials whose exits have smashed records for their brevity.
Though President Donald Trump appointed Scaramucci to the role July 20, he only held the position for six days beyond his start-date of July 25, NBC News reported.
Before Scaramucci, Jack Koehler's term was the shortest, serving 11 days under under the Reagan administration before news broke he had belonged to a Nazi youth group as a child, forcing him to step down, NBC News reported.
Last February, National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was forced to resign after reports emerged of his conversations with the Russian ambassador. NBC noted Flynn was in the position for 23 days, breaking the record for shortest tenure in the position.
Priebus' six-month stint landed in the history books last Friday, when he resigned, becoming the shortest-serving chief of staff ever, with just 189 days on the job, CNN reported.
Sean Spicer's 182-day tenure as White House press secretary was not the shortest in history – he outlasted five predecessors, The Washington Post reported.
