Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., told Newsmax on Monday that, in letting millions of illegal aliens into the United States – many of whom are likely terrorists – the Biden administration has demonstrated that it "does not love this country."

In a letter to congressional leadership last month, 10 retired FBI directors and counterintelligence experts warned of the "soft invasion" at the U.S. southern border by young, military-age men that has been enabled by the Biden administration's policies.

During an appearance on Newsmax's "The Chris Salcedo Show," Biggs said the administration has a "dangerously cavalier attitude" and its "head in the sand" regarding the heightened terrorism threat. It has also reportedly refused to address it with the nation's law enforcement officials.

"I've heard Christopher Wray testify on Capitol Hill that same thing, and other security experts will tell you the same thing," Biggs said. "It is going to happen, and instead of a 9/11, it's going to look like perhaps something that you see in Europe on a routine basis now, where you have these … smaller terrorist attacks."

"It tells me this administration does not love this country," he continued. "They do not care about this country and, in my mind, they are the enemy of freedom, constitutional republic, and the United States of America."

The Arizona congressman also commented on more foreign aid for Ukraine, saying "we simply can't afford" to fund everything in Ukraine from "seeds for farmers to their government to their retirement system."

"Our systems are not funded in the U.S. and, in the meantime, you actually have record numbers of people continue to pour over our border, and this administration doubles down on it last week and says no problem, not our bad, we're not responsible for this," he said.

In a memo to colleagues on Monday, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, claimed that "an impeachment time bomb" for former President Donald Trump is "buried" within the text of the Senate's latest bill for Ukraine and Israel funding to prevent Trump from denying further aid to Ukraine if he's returned to the White House in November.

Biggs said it's further proof that the "D.C. cartel is alive and well" as it "continues to try to dismantle the country."

"They throw this stuff at you last minute and when you start going back through, you'll find just hundreds of things that are dangerous to the republic," he said. "But that is what I mean when I say D.C. cartel; it's what Donald Trump meant when he said swamp; it's what others mean when they say uni-party. It's this cartel between the media, the K Street lobbyists, between the bureaucrats, the bureaucracy. They want power, they want money, and they don't care if it's dragging this country over the cliff with them."
