President Barack Obama is far from being a friend of Israel, long thought of as America's greatest ally, and he is not a supporter of Christians either, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson told Newsmax TV on Wednesday.
During an appearance on "The Steve Malzberg Show," Peterson told guest host Bill Tucker he cannot wait for Obama's successor Donald Trump to take office in just over three weeks.
"Barack Obama has demonstrated for the last eight years that he's not a friend of Israel as he's really not a friend of the United States," Peterson said. "Barack Obama has supported the Muslim world time and time and time again.
"Thank God that Donald Trump is coming in . . . and I hope that we can restore our relationship with Israel, and Israel would know that America stands with her."

Obama cannot be trusted, Peterson — an author, radio host, and the president of BOND — later told Tucker.
"He cannot be trusted, he's never supported the Christians, he's never supported the Jews," Peterson said. "It's amazing to me that even liberal Jews voted for Barack Obama twice when they knew how he felt about Israel."
In recent days, the Obama administration has pledged its support of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. That comes on the heels of a U.N. resolution that passed last week, an agreement that demanded an end to Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
Trump reiterated his support of Israel on Wednesday, telling the nation to "stay strong … January 20th is fast approaching!"
Peterson also spoke about the state of race relations in the U.S., saying Obama has driven a stake between Americans of different races.
"Barack Obama deliberately divided the races like no one else I've ever seen or heard of in the history of America," he said. "That's why I say he's going to go out in history as the most hated, worst president that this country has ever experienced."
