Ben Shapiro: GOP Lawmakers More Civil Than Dems

Republican lawmakers are much more civil to Democrats then the other way around, says Ben Shapiro, editor-in-chief of Truth Revolt and editor-at-large at Breitbart.com.

"They don't have the stomach to go at it mano y mano in terms of the moral battle," Shapiro said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

He said when Republicans are accused of a supposed wrongdoing, Democrats charge that they're "evil and hate women and want to end civilization or are terrible people," according to Shapiro.

"Republicans, by contrast when they argue about President [Barack] Obama or [House Minority Leader] Nancy Pelosi … their argument isn't useful and it's not sufficient," he said.

"If I said to you somebody is evil, you're going to react more strongly emotionally than if I said somebody is inefficient … The Democrats understand that language, Republicans may understand it, but they don't want to use it. Either because they're too civil or they're too stupid or both."
