Bernie Kerik: Obama Should Insist Cuba Turn Over Cop Killers

President Barack Obama should have insisted on Cuba returning a group of fugitives accused of killing police officers and others before visiting the communist country, former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik tells Newsmax TV.

"There's dozens," Kerik said Monday on "Dennis Michael Lynch: Unfiltered." But four in particular are the most violent, and there is a $2 million reward on three of them.

"They are responsible for killing 17 cops, 159 bombings, killing five civilians and two military service members," he said. "These are people that were wanted as a result of convictions and wanted for connections to the FALN, the Black Panther Party, the Black Liberation Army, some extremely, extremely violent people."

New Jersey Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes recently warned any Americans planning to go to Cuba as tourists that they are walking around freely on the streets.

Obama has a moral obligation to the United States to demand Cuba turn over the fugitives, Kerik added. "They committed acts of terror against the United States of America."

The top four include William Morales, Victor Genera, Charlie Hill and Joanne Chesimard, aka Assata Shakur.

"I know plenty of New Jersey state troopers, New York City cops and special operations personnel that would be glad to go down there free of charge to pick them up and bring them home," Kerik said.

Perhaps negotiations took place as happened in Iran to free Americans imprisoned there, Kerik suggested.

"I'm praying that that's the case, although the White House has been extremely quiet on this and we haven't heard anything yet," he said.
