Bill O'Reilly to Newsmax TV: Dems Trying to Win Fla. in Court, Not Voting Booth

The Democrats are up to their same old tricks down in Florida regarding the midterm elections recounts, Bill O'Reilly told Newsmax TV.

O'Reilly was on Wednesday's "The Wayne Allyn Root Show" and said Democrats in Florida are trying to use the court system to overturn the results of the Senate and gubernatorial races in the Sunshine State.

"The circumstantial evidence in this election is that the left, the Democrats, don't want supervision on the vote count. It's as simple as that," O'Reilly said. "They want to litigate it in the courtroom and hopefully overturn elections they lost. That's what they're trying to do."

O'Reilly then referenced the narrow victory in the 2008 election by former comedian Al Franken in the Minnesota Senate race. Franken resigned from the Senate last year after a photo of him with his hands hovering over the chest of a sleeping woman was made public.

"They succeeded in Minnesota with Al Franken, I still believe to this day that man did not win a fair election in Minnesota," O'Reilly said. "But they succeeded there, and they're using the same tactics now. So the federal government has to monitor it."

Recounts are being conducted for four Florida elections, two of them being the races for Senate and governor. Broward and Palm Beach Counties are being criticized for their slow pace in conducting the recount amid claims of corruption and fraud.
