Fox News host Bill O'Reilly says he was once approached by a modeling agency to be the Marlboro Man.
O'Reilly was a reporter for KMGH-TV in Denver in the 1970s. He told his audience Wednesday night that during that time he was approached by a modeling agency that wanted him to dress as the iconic cowboy who advertised Marlboro cigarettes.
"I'm from Long Island," O'Reilly said, laughing off the suggestion that he would have been suitable for the role.

The revelation came during O'Reilly's opening "Talking Points Memo" segment, in which he suggested the government should consider an anti-marijuana campaign much like the anti-tobacco efforts that began in the 1960s.
