Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman told Newsmax on Thursday that "there were so many things that went wrong" at former President Donald Trump's Butler, Pennsylvania, rally on Saturday, which he called a "catastrophic failure" of the Secret Service.
"It was a monumental failure all around and I don't blame the Secret Service agents on the ground," Blakeman said during an appearance on "Newsline." "I believe it's the leadership.
"Local law enforcement missed a lot of opportunities to apprehend the individual," he added. "They got a shot off at the president — that should never happen."
