Dick Morris: Key Differences Between Poll Negatives for Trump, Hillary

Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have high negative poll numbers, but "there's a fundamental difference," political commentator Dick Morris told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

"Hillary is negative because of the things she has done," Morris told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "Trump is negative because of the way he's acted.

"Trump can — and I think is improving the way he acts: being less offensive and less gratuitously nasty and all kinds of stuff like that.

"Hillary can't get rid of the stuff she's done. That record hangs around her neck."

Morris is author of the new book "Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary" with Eileen McGann.

Recent national polls are showing Trump slightly ahead of Clinton.

"It's so unfortunate that we can't elect a woman president without running afoul of the negatives of electing Hillary," Morris said. "To say that this is the first woman candidate is a sad commentary."

Morris' book "Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary" is available at bookstores and online at both Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
