Hillary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders "in the most liberal state in the country" by winning the New York primary on Tuesday, political strategist Dick Morris told
Newsmax TV.
"Hillary just carried New York by huge margins," he told host Dennis Michael Lynch on "America Votes: 2016" in an interview. "That's like in the voting for the Oscars and carrying Los Angeles.
"If Hilary Clinton carried Greenwich Village, carries Manhattan, carries the west side of Manhattan — the intellectual and spiritual epicenter of the Left in the United States — Sanders is badly, badly hurt.
"It's not just a question of her margin here," Morris added. "It's that she did it in New York.
"The point is that she won in the most liberal state in the country and Sanders lost."
