Michael Reagan Praises Non-Stop Trump's Workaholic Presidency

Veteran political commentator Michael Reagan tells Newsmax TV that Donald Trump will likely go down as the busiest president in American history based on his frenetic first two weeks in office.

"He's going to keep doing that. That's how Donald Trump works. That's his DNA, if you will," Reagan, the son of President Ronald Reagan, said Friday to J.D. Hayworth on "Newsmax Prime."

"They're probably going to have to open up offices for him at the House and the Senate side on the other end of Capitol Hill because they're going to spend a lot of time there.

"He looks like he's on a time schedule: 'I've only got eight years to do everything I need to do but if I can do it in eight days, I'd rather do it that way.'''

Reagan praised Trump's signing of an executive order directing the Treasury secretary to consult with regulators about what needs to be done to fix the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in a bid to ease the process of getting bank loans.

"You know it used to be you had a banker, he was your friend, somebody you worked with, you go into the bank, they knew you, you can get a loan and walk out of the bank," he told Hayworth.

"Now you have to show everything. It's like a cavity search just to get a loan at any bank in the country. They made it tough for business, tough for individuals, so yes big applause for taking a look at that."

Reagan is also pleased that Japan is preparing a package that could generate up to 700,000 jobs in the U.S. — a plan to be presented to Trump next week.

"It's great news that they're looking at America as a place where they can come create jobs, make product and what have you and that's only because of Donald Trump. They could've done that in the last eight years if indeed we were user friendly in the United States of America," Reagan said.

"We haven't been user friendly. We've been government friendly and other governments are not stupid and they're not going to come into a country that's government friendly, not user friendly and business friendly.

"They now know there's a business man, a real one in the White House who wants to bring business to America, make it easier to do business here and you're seeing that the doors are open and people are coming in. That's why you see the job market go up, more people going in because they know there's going to be more jobs available to them in the future and right now."

Reagan is the author of "Lessons My Father Taught Me: The Strength, Integrity, and Faith of Ronald Reagan," published by Humanix.
