The Obama administration is waging a war of its own on women by forcing Obamacare's rising costs on people who need few of the Affordable Care Act's mandates, said North Carolina Republican Rep. Renee Ellmers, a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
"When those 2015 numbers come out for premiums, you are going to see them increase and we'll be learning that as it gets closer to the end of the year," Ellmers said on
Newsmax TV's "America's Forum."

Ellmers said that hopefully the numbers will come out before the November election, so Americans can "stand up and say, you know what we reject Obamacare. We're ready for a Republican alternatives."
Older women will especially be hit hard by higher costs for services they don't need or want, she said.
"The Obama administration and the Democrats talk about a war on women all the time,"
Ellmers said. "What bigger war on women could there be than this?"
Women over the age of 50 are the largest group of healthcare receivers in the United States, Ellmers said.
"As life is starting to slow down or you're trying to make things work in life you're going to the doctor more," Ellmers said. "So these women, the women that we're talking about here that fit into this age group, 55 to 64 pre-Medicare coverage are now having to pay astronomical amounts of money just for their healthcare and you know, wasn't the claim that the cost for the average family was going to go down $2,500 a year?"
Meanwhile that age group will also see the largest premium increases, she said.
"There are 10 essential health benefits according to Obamacare that every American now is responsible for," said Ellmers. "For these women you're talking about women who are post childbearing years and they're having to carry coverage to take care of pediatric care."
But the women still need healthcare to cover other conditions, she said.
"It gets back to the same continuous lies that the president gave us about what Obamacare was," said Ellmers. "You can keep your doctor, you can keep your healthcare plan, you can keep your hospital. All of these things are not true and the cost is going up astronomically."
