The Rev. Jesse Jackson's claim that there is no justification whatsoever for the shooting of Michael Brown is "idiocy," according to Roger Simon, the co-founder and CEO emeritus of PJ Media.

"Here's the brutal truth. Jesse Jackson hates black people. He does," Simon said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"He acts like a man who hates black people because he's ruining their lives by polluting their brains with that idiocy."

In an interview on Monday with Malzberg, Jackson called the shooting unjustified, noting that because Brown was unarmed, "we need not try to stretch to find out just how wrong this killing has been.''

Brown, 18, was shot by police officer Darren Wilson, who had confronted him for blocking traffic. It has since emerged that Brown may have charged and attacked Wilson, prompting the officer to defend himself.

Brown was also a suspect in an earlier convenience store robbery, although Wilson did not know that at the time.

Jackson and other civil rights leaders — including MSNBC host Al Sharpton — traveled to Ferguson after the incident became a national story when riots and looting broke out.
