Dick Morris: Hillary's Answers to Written Questions to Reveal More on Benghazi

Hillary Clinton's answers to 25 questions submitted by Judicial Watch on Tuesday will likely reveal more about the Benghazi attack, political strategist and former Clinton aide Dick Morris tells Newsmax TV

Clinton must answer the questions from the conservative watchdog group under oath by September 29, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled earlier this month.

Judicial Watch has been at the forefront of pushing for information on Clinton's private server she used as secretary of state. She said she turned over all work-related emails on the server while destroying any that related to personal matters, but the FBI has discovered several emails related to government matters not included by Clinton.

On Tuesday, the FBI said some of those emails were related to Benghazi.

Appearing Tuesday on "Newsmax Prime," Morris told host J.D. Hayworth that Clinton's answers will reveal more about why the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans happened and why no reinforcements were ever sent once the attack happened.

"And we may get further evidence that the administration knew it was a terror attack on the anniversary of 9/11 — and that the camouflage that is was about a video, was lying to try to win the election."

Morris said if he were allowed to ask Clinton questions, the first would be why the United States was in Benghazi in the first place. He said he believes it was as cover for a gun-running operation to the Syrian rebels similar to the Iran-Contra operation during the Reagan administration.

That would be illegal, Morris said, since it did not have congressional approval.

Morris is the co-author of the new book, "Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary" (Humanix) with Eileen McGann, which can be purchased on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
