Polling numbers are unlikely to shift dramatically for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in the short term – but an October surprise from the organization WikiLeaks would likely hurt the Democratic nominee, John Zogby told Newsmax TV.
In an interview Monday with "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth, the senior partner John Zogby Strategies and author of "We Are Many, We Are One," said, "We have the Julian Assange primary coming up," referring to the WikiLeaks founder.
"We'll just have to see," Zogby said, adding he assumes any leaked emails released by the organization is "probably not helpful information to Hillary Clinton. … Does he get to release the information and is it the blockbuster that he suggests it might be?"

Assange canceled a London balcony address set for Tuesday in favor of a video presentation in Berlin after WikiLeaks developed "specific information" regarding Assange's safety, Fox News reported.
"Other than that, I think we just sail along," Zogby said, adding the controversy over former Miss Universe Alicia Machado "just kind of played both ways."
"Those who already hated Donald Trump or who were inclined towards possibly hating Donald Trump certainly weren't impressed," he said. "On the other hand, for his supporters or those who really just detest Hillary Clinton, really questions about whether Ms. Machado was actually an endearing sort of character in the first place."
