Former Trump domestic policy adviser Ken Blackwell told Newsmax TV on Wednesday that President Donald Trump "does not apologize."
"Whether it's right or wrong, he does not apologize," Blackwell, Ohio's former Republican secretary of state and mayor of Cincinnati, told "Newsmax Now" host Bill Tucker. "He recalibrates and he keeps forward movement.
"He will change behaviors, but he won't apologize.
"If these guys are looking for him to apologize to them for throwing a punch or two below the belt, he's not going to do it.
"If, in fact, you don't like that style and you want to engage him and you want to beat him, the only way you can do that is by fighting."

Blackwell told Tucker "these folks are coming to the realization that the president has caught the imagination of growing numbers of Americans who want change and who are dissatisfied with the status quo — and they understand that there's a direct correlation between their individual liberty and a big muscular powerful government."
"And, so," he concluded, "this guy is taking on the giant in the room — big government — and he's a fighter, and he's captured the imagination of the American people."
