Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman told Newsmax TV on Monday that Rudy Giuliani has simply become "a public relations spokesman" instead of an attorney properly representing President Donald Trump in the Russia investigation.
"Rudy Giuliani's a very nice man, but frankly he's past his prime here," Klayman, a former federal prosecutor, told "America Talks Live" hosts Miranda Khan and John Cardillo in an interview. "He's just a public relations spokesperson."
Giuliani told CNN Monday that special counsel Robert Mueller gave him the impression that the probe would wrap up by September.
"For a president who understands that actions much must match words, he has to take action now," Klayman said, noting earlier predictions by attorney Jay Sekulow and other former members of the president's personal legal team.
"There has been previous predictions by Jay Sekulow, one of the lawyers, that this would been over last fall. Then it was Christmas. Then it was March.
"Now, it's of course by September," Klayman said. "That's not gonna happen."
He said President Trump must fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and investigate Mueller for leaking information to the media.
"Mueller has been leaking grand jury information," Klayman told Khan and Cardillo. "That's criminal.
"This thing is going to drag on till 2020," Klayman predicted. "I can guarantee you."

Klayman also slammed former Fox News executive and current White House Deputy Chief of Staff Bill Shine for barring a CNN reporter from an open press event at the Rose Garden with Trump last week.
"He's being combative," he said. "People deserve the right to ask questions.
"I don't like that question by CNN," he added, referring to Kaitlan Collins asking whether Trump had been betrayed by former attorney Michael Cohen.
"It certainly was off-base, but you have the right to ask those questions if you're going to have a press conference."
Klayman then recounted a negative experience with Fox under Shine, who was the chief ally of former CEO Roger Ailes, who died last year.
Shine himself was forced out of Fox after Ailes' death amid attacks over how he handled complaints of sexual harassment lodged against the former chairman.
"He's a very vindictive individual, Shine," he continued. "He was Ailes' right-hand man.
"He has no respect for women.
"In fact, he's retaliated against conservatives — Matt Drudge, others — who were kept off that network."
Klayman noted that other conservatives — including former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former Alabama Supreme Court Judge Roy Moore and Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy — have faced similar fates at Fox.
"They've created an atmosphere at Fox, Shine and Ailes, that was extremely, extremely arrogant and vindictive," he said.
Klayman said President Trump should not have named Shine to the critical West Wing position.
"This is the mentality at Fox — and Fox is going to pay a price for it.
"The president? Unfortunately, I don't want to see him pay a price for it, because I love this president," he added.
"He should get rid of Shine and get somebody in there with some integrity."
Last week Klayman asked federal prosecutors to re-open an investigation into Bill Shine and Fox News, citing a pattern of obstructing the civil rights of female employees.
