Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas has a message for any conservatives who are mulling a third-party run against Donald Trump: Stay Away.
"I do think that [Sen. Ted] Cruz has a chance of having a greater plurality of votes than Trump does, but now there's stuff coming out like, gee, some conservatives may challenge Trump," Gohmert said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.
"No, we've got a conservative challenging Trump. Any real, true conservative needs to get behind Ted Cruz because we don't need a conservative running in a third party. We have a conservative that has a good shot right now."

And support for Cruz, a Texas Republican, is on the rise, according to Gohmert.
"We've got a bunch of [Marco] Rubio supporters — [South Carolina Gov.] Nikki Haley just came out and endorsed Cruz — so you may see people that were behind Rubio coalescing and other candidates coalescing."
