Top Republicans are amused by a potentially awkward meeting between President Barack Obama and his former secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who recently has been critical of her old boss's foreign policy.

Obama and Clinton will be face-to-face Wednesday on Martha's Vineyard for the 80th birthday party for philanthropist Ann Dibble Jordan, wife of affluent businessman and civil-rights activist Vernon Jordan.

"It's almost comical that these are the guys that made fun of Mitt Romney,'' he added, referring to Romney's gaffe about 47 percent of Americans being Obama supporters who are dependent on the government and not paying taxes.

"Here they are talking about 'Oh, how neat, we are going to see each other at our friend's little get together on the Vineyard.'

"Hillary was quoted … saying … they are going to hug it out at the party because apparently she's now back-tracking from her attempt to distance [herself from Obama] because of the push back she's getting from the progressive wing of the party.''
