The mainstream media's coverage of Donald Trump is "so over the top, so outrageous that people aren't at least recognizing it and are turning away from the media," conservative commentator Ann Coulter told Newsmax TV on Friday.
"They're like children," The New York Times best-selling author and Trump supporter told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. "The one good thing is it is so aggressive this time. I don't think that's a good thing.
"I wasn't around for Goldwater, but I think this is worse than even that," she added. "I've never seen anything like this — and every little thing he says.
"There's no way you can avoid them lying about these things."
Coulter is the author of "In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!" The book is due out later this month.
