Ted Cruz: I'm Staying Out of DC's 'Political Circus'

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz told Newsmax TV on Wednesday he was staying out of the fracas between President Donald Trump and former chief strategist Steve Bannon, saying "I don't comment on the political circus that is Washington, the battles between personalities."

"I'll let other people worry about that," the first-term Texas Republican told "The Joe Pags Show" in an interview. "What I'm going to focus on is substance and results.

"Because I think Texans could care less about the nonsense, the back and forth, the biting, the back-biting, and the silliness that consumes Washington.

"What Texans are interested in is we want more jobs, we want higher wages, we want more opportunity, and we want our Constitutional rights."
