It's time for President Joe Biden to "show more backbone" when it comes to Iran, but his refusal to enforce sanctions that former President Donald Trump left Iran with hampers that, Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, said Thursday on Newsmax.
"Just a few years ago, Iran's oil exports amounted to just under $10 billion, and today, it's over $40 billion, so the largest state sponsor of terror now has over $30 billion of additional funds," Fallon told "Newsline," while discussing reports that Pakistan carried out retaliatory strikes in Iran Thursday, killing at least nine people.
Fallon said he is glad that Pakistan, which "has their own issues," made the strike, as Iran wants to be "the regional superpower, the preeminent power of the Middle East.
The congressman, a member of the House Armed Services and Oversight committees, also commented on Thursday's testimony being presented by Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris, who has often been referred to as Hunter Biden's "sugar brother."
"It's interesting that Hunter decided to show up and have a second stunt where he just stuck one of his fingers out at Congress, and it's terribly unfortunate, but he's filming a documentary that he [Morris] is apparently bankrolling, so I think you can call him his sugar brother," said Fallon. "He's given him about $6 million … everybody associated with Hunter, we'd like to get them deposed to get a clearer picture of what was actually going on. It's clear to me that Hunter Biden was acting as Joe's bag man."
