Pete Hoekstra Slams NSA Over Obama WH Lists of Russian Data

By    |   Friday, 31 March 2017 09:05 PM EDT ET

News reports Friday that the Obama administration created a list of all the classified files relating to Russian activities during last year's election proves that the former president "had an agenda on the way out the door — and that was to sabotage the incoming administration," former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra told Newsmax TV.

"It's really kind of unprecedented that the Obama administration would be doing this," the former Michigan Republican, who headed the panel from 2004 to 2007, told "Newsmax Prime" host Miranda Khan. "The director of the NSA is still the same person that was there under the Obama administration.

"You're going right through this process and everything starts pointing to that the Obama administration had an agenda on the way out the door and that was to sabotage the incoming administration."

Former Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo also focused his ire at NSA Director Mike Rogers, who was appointed in 2014.

"The head of the NSA under Obama is still there," he told Khan. "There are all kinds of people in that bureaucracy and within the intelligence community who are political appointees and who are still there.

"None of these people should be there," he added. "Yet, they are.

"I just don't get it."
