Rep. Steve King: Obama Executive Order on Amnesty 'On the Way'

After the midterm elections, Iowa Rep. Steve King predicts President Barack Obama will follow through on his "promise and threat"to "violate the constitution, break the law and grant executive amnesty, but not before the election because they might be punished at the ballot box."

King, a Republican, noted as proof on Newsmax TV's "America's Forum" the request by U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS) seeking vendors to produce some 34 million blank green cards.

"It's on the way," he said. "You don't put out a request for proposal (RFP) like that for up to 34 million cards. These green cards … could go up to 9 million the first year. You don't do that unless you're preparing USCIS. The statement out of USCIS was they're trying to anticipate what the president may do and they want to make sure that they are ready.

"Where does that order come from? Does it come out of the mouth of the president or his chief of staff?  You don't sit there as the director of USCIS and define by reading the left wing blogs that you need to put out an RFP for 34 million cards.

"This order had to have been sent out from the White House. He's not reacting to a rumor. There's an email chain. This is so utterly unconstitutional. If this does not mobilize the American people, if the president takes this action he’s threatened to take we will have abandoned every pretext of the Constitution of the United States and if the American people take that sitting down or are lying down, then our constitutional republic has been destroyed."

If/when Obama uses executive action to legalize millions of illegal immigrants, King said it will be incumbent on the American people to "protest outside the gates of the president's residence until he lets go of this unconstitutional action."

"This cannot be allowed to stand or America will be transformed into a lawless third world nation,"he said.

Obama, he predicted, will "throw a tantrum to get the unconstitutional act that he wants. In this context, everything is on the table because our constitutional republic can't have a president who believes he can make up the law as he goes."

So far, King said, the president has "ordered ICE to break the law by refusing to put illegals into removal proceedings.

King said he would not rule out impeachment as a possible remedy.

The congressman also called for the firing of CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden, "a political spin doctor"who has been roundly criticized from both sides of the aisle for his handling of the emerging Ebola crisis.

King also called for a travel ban from Ebola stricken nations.

"That should've been called by the president a long time ago," King said. "There should be no planes coming from there. There should be no people coming that have boarded planes that originated there.

"There are about 150 people a day that are arriving into the U.S from those Ebola infected regions. We need to create a no-fly list for those who have been exposed."
