After spending some time visiting refugee camps along the Syrian border in both Lebanon and Turkey, an official from a non-profit advocacy group says that the human suffering among the refugees is "immense."
"Having spent time both in Turkey, along the border with Syria, and now in Lebanon along the border with Syria, it's hard to even express the amount of human suffering that I've observed there," Kristen Wright of Open Doors USA told J.D. Hayworth and Olga Villaverde on "America's Forum" on
Newsmax TV Wednesday.

Wright explained that the families there "have just confronted almost insurmountable obstacles."
"It's very expensive to be a refugee from Syria and Lebanon," she said.
"Many families are having to pay a lot for rent just to survive," she added. "They're even having to rent the spaces on which they're placing their tents and so it's just an incredibly challenging situation."
The donor relations director at Open Doors USA said that the refugees are made up of both Christians and Sunni Muslims, who have escaped from Syria because of the conflict there.
"The vast majority of refugees that I've spoken with and really the vast majority of refugees fleeing Syria are Sunni Muslims," Wright explained.
"There are Christians in the refugee camps, as well, and we were able to talk to some of them," she said.
She explained the future for these refugees is uncertain since many of them don't even have homes to return to if or when the conflict in Syria comes to an end.
"I spoke to several refugees and asked them, 'Do they ever really want to go home' and one girl told me, 'Why would I want to go home? My home is destroyed, my school was destroyed, my neighborhood was destroyed,' " she said.
Wright said it is especially difficult to see the "little children who have seen so much human suffering at such an early age," saying that "it's very unsettling and it's very disturbing."
