Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV on Tuesday "it scares me half to death that we can come to a constitutional crisis over" FBI special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.
"This is going to get more and more complicated," DeLay, the former Texas Republican who was majority leader from 2003 to 2005, told "Newsmax Now" host Bill Tucker.

"Two things that I know: Democrats will lie. They are notorious about things — and they'll use anything, like a dossier, to get damaging amount of material out on Trump.
"No. 2, and I've said it on your show, and I'll say it again: The Department of Justice is corrupt.
"It's not just corrupt in this regard. It's been corrupt for years.
"They have put many innocent people in prison and have destroyed many innocent people by their abusive power," DeLay told Tucker.
"So, if they have that dossier, and they can make it look like it's real, then those enemies of Trump, and particularly the special prosecutor, will make it so.
"That's what got me so scared about this — and particularly when they appointed a special prosecutor.
"They can twist things and say things — and Trump is left with proving a negative," he said.
"It's really bad politics — and it scares me half to death that we can come to a constitutional crisis over this."
