The Biden administration has allowed illegal migrants to use the medical infrastructure originally designated for veterans while at the same time prioritizing them such that care for veterans has been put on the back burner, Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., told Newsmax.

"A lot of people don't know this," Tuberville tells "American Agenda," but because of the border crisis, "the Biden administration is looking for every possible way to take care of these people coming across that the American taxpayers shouldn't be responsible for — especially our veterans.

"We just recently found out that because of all this infiltration of illegal immigrants, they're trying to push illegal immigrants into VAs."

"Now let me get this point straight: VAs, we have 19 million veterans right now. We only treat about 9 to 10 million because we" can't afford to help all of them. "We don't have the facilities to handle it, and they have long lines. So because of that, we started these community care systems all over the rural areas of most of the states in the country, paid for by the VA," Tuberville continued.

"Well, now, after the VA and the veterans had an easier time of going to these places in these rural areas, the Biden administration has decided to use these community care systems for these illegals. And it's pushed our veterans to the back of the line."

"It's wrong. This shouldn't be happening. We shouldn't be spending this money this way. And hopefully, the American people see what's happening with all these things going wrong at the border."

The senator for Alabama's interview comes amidst the introduction of his bill, titled the "No VA Resources for Illegal Aliens Act," which would prohibit the VA from providing care or resources to migrants.

According to Military.com, on Thursday, VA officials stated that while taxpayers were funding the healthcare claims of migrants, it was Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — not the VA — paying for care.

"VA does not provide or fund any health care to ICE detainees," VA Press Secretary Terrence Hayes said. "There is a 2002 payment processing agreement, in which ICE pays for the [VA's Financial Services Center] to process payments for ICE-funded health care. This involves no more than 10 employees, is fully paid for by ICE, and has been in place for every administration since 2002."
