Rep. Riley Moore, R-W.Va., told Newsmax on Thursday that President Joe Biden's farewell address to the nation was "just a litany of hypocrisy" when he warned the country of the threat from the "ultrarich."
On Wednesday evening, Biden spoke to the nation for the last time and took the opportunity to warn of an "oligarchy" of the ultrawealthy taking root in the country and of a "tech-industrial complex" that is infringing on Americans' rights and the future of democracy. Moore said Biden giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros was just one example of a speech that was "just riddled with hypocrisy."
"It really feels like he was a president for everybody but the American people. He let 12 million illegal migrants into this country. He sold out our energy base here — coal, gas, oil — and sold that out to the Green New Deal, which China produces most of that, and then started monitoring Trump supporters: Catholics … parents at school board meetings and the like," Moore said during an appearance on "Wake Up America."
The incoming representative from West Virginia's 2nd Congressional District then took issue with Biden lecturing the nation on ethics after granting his son Hunter a blanket pardon for any crimes that may have been committed dating back to 2014.
"And then obviously the cherry on top was the warning about ethics. The guy pardoned his son, a 10-year look back on that for all the crimes committed there," Moore added.
