It is show time for the candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination. Wednesday and Thursday nights, 20 of the 25 contenders vying for their party's nomination will square off in Miami for the debates. By week's end, the nation should have a better idea of which Democratic candidates are genuine contenders, and which ones might just be pretenders.

The candidates are busy prepping for the debate, and so are many readers. To help them, Newsmax is taking a closer look at five leading contenders who will take the debate stage on Day One of the debates, which will air Wednesday from 9-11 p.m. ET on NBC, MSNBC, and Telemundo.
