President Donald Trump should nominate federal Judge Barbara Lagoa, not Judge Amy Coney Barrett, to be the next U.S. Supreme Court justice to fill the seat vacated by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, political strategist Dick Morris told Newsmax TV.
"I think he should appoint Lagoa, the Latina," Morris told Tuesday's "Spicer & Co." "Barrett doesn't do him any good. The base will be happy again . . . but they'll be happy with Lagoa, as well. The key thing is to let the Democrats alienate the Hispanic vote right now. Give them that opportunity."
