President Trump may have just found his biggest leverage yet over China in trade talks, with the revelation it owes American investors a staggering $1.2 trillion in bond payments.

This past August, Trump met with a group representing investors in pre-World War II Chinese bond debt and indicated he has a serious interest in seeing they get paid.
