As the partial government shutdown continues its third week, its growing impact is spreading across the nation in some pretty unpredictable ways.

Whether you’re feeling discomfited probably depends on where you live and what you do for a living. Signs are emerging that federal workers are really starting to feel the pain. Fewer TSA workers are showing up to work, contributing to long security lines at the nation’s airports. Also, the SNAP food assistance program is releasing February funding in January to insure families get the help they need.
