Revelations of a "dramatic" increase in Iran's stockpile of near weapons-grade uranium have heightened fears that the West could soon find itself in a clash with the Islamic Republic – with one expert warning that a "de-facto state of war" already exists.

It is estimated that Tehran's stockpile of 60% enriched uranium could power as many as three nukes.
