Katherine Harris, the former Florida secretary of state who endured unrelenting criticism during the 2000 Bush v. Gore vote recount, tells Newsmax she feels “vindicated” by a 2018 election controversy stoked by delays, lawsuits, and vote-counting snafus.

It was Harris who in 2000 called a halt to the “hanging chad” recount that appeared to have no end in sight. That decision was appealed all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which issued a landmark decision.
