Republicans are demanding answers to find out the level of involvement the Department of Energy had in the outgoing Biden administration's decision earlier this month to ban new offshore drilling.
Republicans with the House Committee on Energy and Commerce fired off a letter to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm accusing the Biden administration of "undermining the intent of the electorate by reportedly planning to permanently close off additional U.S. coastal waters to offshore oil and natural gas production."
