When it comes to the next phase of space exploration, China has its eyes on domination, placing the U.S. in danger of losing its superiority in technology, economics, and world power. The dramatic new space race includes China's plans to establish a military base on the moon within 10 years, says an expert.

While the U.S. has made strides in beefing up its plans for space with Space Force, NASA's Artemis program to return to the moon, and support for Elon Musk's SpaceX projects, space experts say the country pales in comparison to the efforts China is making to control the moon, Mars, and other celestial bodies.
