Speculation has arisen that Obama will axe Joe Biden and bring on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo as his 2012 running mate.
Political analyst and former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown Jr. sparked the talk in his column for the San Francisco Examiner, and reported by the
New York Post.
"He's a big name, a big-state governor,” wrote Brown. “And a Democrat who is taking on the issue of pubic-employee salaries and pensions. Plus, he looks good.”
Cuomo, who denies any such move, has received national notice for passing a state budget that resolved a deficit of $10 billion without having to raise taxes, and for confronting public-employee unions.
