Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., was the projected winner of his reelection bid Tuesday — despite an ad campaign from six of his siblings endorsing their brother's Democratic challenger.
Gosar took 68 percent of the vote to challenger David Brill's 31 percent.
Six of nine of Gosar's brothers and sisters released an ad campaign in September that condemned and denounced their brother's conservative stances on the environment, healthcare, and immigration.
"It would be difficult to see my brother as anything but a racist," Gosar's sibling Grace said in one of the ads, the Washington Examiner reported.
Gosar has served in the House of Representatives since 2011.
