Actress Ashley Judd, who reportedly has been weighing a run against Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, already has amassed something of a “spotty” voting record.

The actress voted in only five of the last nine elections since 1996, according to National Review.

An eighth-generation Kentuckian and outspoken liberal activist, Judd met privately last week with officials at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Washington. The DSCC recruits, coordinates strategy, and raises money on behalf of candidates.

While the McConnell campaign appears to be taking a possible Judd challenge seriously, a recent poll gave the incumbent a 9-point lead over Judd among likely voters.

Judd voted in the 1996, 2004, 2008, 2010, and 2012 general elections but did not vote in the 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2006 general elections, based on a public-information request to the Williamson County, Tenn. board of elections, where Judd resides, according to National Review.
