Former President Barack Obama will be a special guest at a fundraiser for Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., Politico reported.
Actress Katie McGrath, film studio executive Jeffrey Katzenberg, and filmmaker Steven Spielberg will host the May 6 fundraiser, Politico noted.
McCaskill was an early backer of Obama over Hillary Clinton when he ran for president in 2008.
The Missouri lawmaker is the third-most vulnerable Senate Democrat in the 2018 midterm elections, Axios reported.
Josh Hawley, her Republican challenger, has a higher approval rating in a state where President Donald Trump's approval rating is 55 percent, Axios noted.
Hawley's approval rating is 52 percent, while McCaskill's is 44 percent, the report said.
