Hillary Clinton played a "central role" in "creating a home" for ISIS, Sen. Bob Corker charged Sunday.
In an interview with ABC News' "This Week," the GOP Tennessee lawmaker, and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said the team behind the Democratic front-runner's presidential campaign "feels her service as secretary of state has made her incredibly vulnerable" – including "some of the judgment issues she made in actually running the [State] Department," a veiled apparent reference to Clinton's use of a private email server.
"But if you think back to decisions that were made in 2011, they were really disastrous," he declared. "She played a central role in really creating a home for where ISIS resides today."
He added that the "Libyan incursion … will be a textbook case for what not to do in making foreign policy decisions," calling it an "unbelievable decision."
Corker said Team Clinton realizes the candidate is "very vulnerable" in light of her role in decisions on "the precipitous leaving of Iraq" and "encouraging the moderate opposition in Syria and never following through."
Corker has been
denying speculation about being on a Trump ticket.
