The FBI spoke with Deborah Ramirez on Sunday in its probe into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, CNN has reported.
Ramirez alleged that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party when he was a student at Yale, in an account published in The New Yorker, a claim Kavanaugh has denied.
A source told CNN that Ramirez gave the FBI names of witnesses, although it is unclear if the agency would interview them or if the scope of the bureau's mandate prevents them from doing so.
Ramirez's attorney John Clune had said earlier that the FBI had reached out to his client and that she had agreed to cooperate with the probe.
Both Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, who testified Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school, were not on the initial list of witnesses the Senate Republicans gave to the White House for the FBI to interview, according to CNN.
Ford and her lawyers have reportedly not heard from the FBI, and there is speculation that she and Kavanaugh might not need to be interviewed because their accounts are already known from their sworn testimony before the committee.
