Lawyer Michael Avenatti has responded to Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Monday night appearance on Fox News, calling him a “liar.”
Avenatti, who now represents a client he says has information about “gang rapes” involving Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge, sent out a tweet on Tuesday saying that Kavanaugh’s “'I was just an innocent boy’ claims on Fox are laughable and an insult to any American with common sense. They are irreconcilable with the yearbook, many witnesses, & my clients. His claims about the drinking age at the time also appear to be false.”
Avenatti, who is also the lawyer for Stormy Daniels, who is involved in a legal dispute with President Donald Trump over an alleged affair, said that he “will disclose the client’s name and accusations [against Kavanaugh] only when SHE is ready and we have adequate security measures in place. And not a moment before that. It is her choice and hers alone as to when to surface because it is her life,” according to Law @ Crime.
A defiant Kavanaugh spoke to Fox News' Martha MacCallum for her show, “The Story” on Monday and said, "I'm not going anywhere."
The judge declared that "The truth is I have never sexually assaulted anyone in high school or otherwise."
