Herman Cain: Obamacare Contributed to Cantor's Defeat

Obamacare contributed to the defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia's Republican primary on Tuesday, 2012 GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain said on Fox News.

"The one thing that no one has mentioned is the fact that the leadership in the House has backed off of a major promise that the leadership made a couple months ago," Cain said. "And, Eric Cantor was the spokesperson when they said they were going to put forth repeal and replace legislation for Obamacare."

"Then, just last week they backed off from that, because it was reported that some Republicans were getting a little waffly on that," Cain, a businessman and radio host, told "Fox & Friends" on Thursday.

Cain said the bottom line of Cantor's loss to political newcomer Dave Brat, an economics professor, was that Americans were "tired of broken promises."
