Caroline Kennedy, the U.S. ambassador to Japan, is seething over reports that Hillary Clinton sabotaged her chances to be appointed to Clinton's vacated Senate seat and may endorse Vice President Joe Biden if he runs for president, the New York Post reports.

Leaked emails from Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal in June showed that Blumenthal worked with Tina Brown, then-editor of The Daily Beast, to run stories referring to Kennedy as a "puppet" and calling her candidacy an "insult," according to Buzzfeed.

Kennedy ended up asking her name to be withdrawn from consideration, citing "personal reasons."

Kennedy reportedly plans to endorse Biden should he decide to toss his hat into the ring. Other Kennedys will likely contribute to Clinton to hedge their bets, the Post reported.
